Unique handmade wooden jigsaw puzzles
which are satisfying to handle and fun to do.
My puzzles are not usually cut in a regular pattern like most cardboard puzzles. They are cut
freehand so each one is different. Although the number of pieces is generally smaller than in similar-sized cardboard
ones, the puzzles are often quite hard to do - I like them to present a challenge!
At any one time there is only one of each puzzle available. I can often make another one of
any picture, but it will not be identical. It might be the same picture, but the cut will be different; or if it is
a painted puzzle, the picture itself will also be slightly different.
I was adjusting an exhibition of my puzzles in Prestatyn Library in December when a visitor asked
me, "Are they pictures or puzzles?" In the case of my painted ones, the answer is, both! I paint directly on to
the sealed wood and then cut it up.
Samples of my puzzles are illustrated below - have a look at the other pages!
